Killing With Kindness
NJ playwright
Ed Shakespeare’s play, “Killing With Kindness”.
The production will be followed by a lively discussion
with the playwright, director, actors and audience.
“Killing With Kindness” centers on Manny Tsioropoulis,
who was told that the little country house he was
renting would be the perfect, quiet abode in which to
create the music for his new album. His neighbors,
however, turn out to be a shotgun-wielding fanatic who
can’t stand noise and his Bible-quoting, lonely wife.
Added into the mix are two mysterious friends also in
Manny’s rental house.
Ed Shakespeare is
a resident of Lavallette and is a former recipient of a
NJ Council on the Arts Fellowship grant. His plays have
been performed as full-scale productions and readings
and a number of NJ theatres. He is also a N Council on
the Arts teaching artist. Shakespeare is a published
author and accomplished actor, although he is not
related to William Shakespeare.
