(Morristown, NJ) -- The New Jersey Theatre Alliance, the statewide consortium of professional, not-for-profit theatres, launches a new statewide program specifically designed for the young working professional. For just $25, participants will attend a theatre production packaged with a post-performance reception that includes music, food and drink. Attendees will mingle with the cast and crew, as well as their peers who also enjoy the arts.

Theatre ROCKS! kicks-off on Friday, October 12, 2007 at Cranford's The Theater Project with a presentation of Omnium Gatherum, a hilarious comedy that mixes humor, political satire and while it explores human luck and existence in the universe. Witness a Martha Stewart-type try to keep an explosive assortment of opinionated guests from turning her "perfect dinner party" into the "dinner party from hell" as they engage in humorous debate on current affairs.

Immediately following the performance, patrons are invited to a actual dinner party with the cast and crew hosted by The Office, located at 1-7 South Ave. and South Union Street in downtown Cranford where complimentary appetizers and drinks will be offered.

Tickets can be purchased directly at The Theater Project's box office or by calling (908) 659-5189 or online at www.njartstix.org the day of the performance.

Since its inception in 1994, The Theater Project, Union County College's Professional Theater Company, is celebrating its thirteenth season of producing new works and contemporary classics. An award-winning affiliate member of the New Jersey Theater Alliance, The Theater Project is known for its color-blind casting policy and provocative "actor's view of theater" seating -- the audience is on-stage with the actors, "where the action is." The Theater Project is located on the campus of Union County College at 1033 Springfield Avenue in Cranford. For more information, please visit their website at www.TheTheaterProject.com .

Theatre ROCKS! is part of Discover Jersey Arts' Generation Next - a series of cultural events designed specifically to bring together young professionals for a night out.
