FAQs for theater Project Jr

How should my child dress during rehearsal?
Children should wear comfortable clothes and preferably sneakers or closed shoes.  We discourage sandals or flip flops as they can be dangerous when learning choregoraphy

Is my child allowed to bring a snack?
Yes,  we ask that you send your child to rehearsal with water and a light, healthy snack.

Is my child allowed to bring electronic devices to rehearsal?
Generally, the use of electronic devices (including cell phones) is not allowed during rehearsal or the shows.  That said, there may be periods of time when we are not rehearsing your child's specific scene/number.  At that time, the child may use a quiet, electronic game...or use that time to practice their lines and memorize their scripts!

What if we have planned a family vacation over the summer?
We understand that families go away during the summer, or have other extra curricular activities going on, and we try to be as flexible as possible and take that into consideration when casting certain lead roles.  That said, we do ask that during the last two weeks before the performances, each child make themselves available and the last week prior to the show is mandatory attendance for all.

Will there be any evening rehearsals for the day camp in Union?
Yes, as we get close to the performances, we may schedule one or two evening rehearsals so that the band members can rehearse with the cast.

Will there be any day rehearsals for the program in Cranford/Rahway?
Yes, as we get close to the performances, we may schedule one or two rehearsals during the day to polish up some of the scenes/numbers.
