Two plays by two guest playwrights: Sarah J. Congress and Cindi Sansone-Braff, winners of the 2021 THINK FAST Fest at The Theater Project My Struggle by Cindi Sansone-Braff Set in 1981, the day after the failed assassination attempt of Ronald Reagan by John Hinkley Jr., the Sunnydale Nursing Home celebrates the hundredth birthday of their oldest resident, Dr. Abraham Kasper. A holocaust survivor, Dr. Kasper takes a disturbing trip down memory lane, as he laments the dire consequences of not listening to divine guidance. Cindi Sansone-Braff has a B.F.A. from UCONN. Angel’s Mice and Men was produced at Summerfest, NYC, in 2019 and published by Next Stage Press. Beethoven’s Promethean Concerto in C Minor WoO, was produced at the BACCA Center in 2017. No Rest for a Soul is in the Equity Library Theater of New York Festival this spring. She is a member of the Dramatist Guild. www.grantmeahigherlove.com A Thanksgiving to Remember By Sarah Congress Will we ever forget the holidays when we were coping with Covid? Sarah Congress writes scripts for theatre and television. Most recently, her full-length play The Angel Manual was selected to be a part of the Summer 2021 HB Playwright's Reading Series (NYC) and her ten-minute play Fresh Kills is a Finalist for the Downtown Urban Arts Festival (NYC). She is currently workshopping her play The Virtual Sleepover with the University of Miami undergraduate acting class. |
