ALABAMA STORY

by Kenneth Jones

IT STARTS WITH A STORY: a librarian finds herself facing off against segregationist policy and censorship—all because of a children’s book about the marriage of a black rabbit and a white rabbit. In parallel, two childhood friends—a white woman and a Black man—reconnect amidst the chaos, upheaval, and sparks of hope as the civil rights movement dawns.
